St. Joseph’s values education as a partnership between the school and the parents.
At the beginning of the year an information night is organised for the parents to share classroom practices and curriculum contents.
At the beginning of each term parents are informed about the content being taught throughout the term.
At the end of Term 1 and Term 3 an interim report is sent home to all parents. The interim report is designed to inform parents of the work habits, behaviour and attitude of each student rather than an academic report.
There is a provision on the interim report for parent/teacher interviews to be held, if either party requests.
Reports for academic achievement and work habits are sent home to parents at the end of Term 2 and Term 4.
Parent/Teacher Interviews are held at the end of Term 2, or at the request of parents or teachers throughout the year.
Portfolios are samples of work collected throughout the year. These are sent home with the half yearly and yearly reports.
